The best choice when staying in the Colchester town centre due mainly to the excellent High Street location which is within walking distance of the castle, main Colchester centre shopping areas and the town hall. Many quality pubs and restaurants have sprung up in Colchester in the last few years and are an easy stroll from the George hotel. Buses to Colchester North mainline railway station stop in the High Street near the hotel entrance.
